Brian Burke's Targets for Kids
One of Mr. Burke's favorite past time hobbies is; you guessed it, clay target shooting! So why not make an event out of it and raise some money and awareness for two amazing causes! 2025 will mark the 9th year for this event that has raised over $200,000 in it's first 8 years and the 2017 event was recognized by the Calgary Event Awards as the Top Fundraising Event!
Rob Kerr, KidSport Calgary, The Calgary Flames Sports Bank and The Flames EvenStrength Program are working together to put on yet another, unique and memorable event. This event would not be made possible without the one-and-only Mr. Rob Kerr as the emcee for the day as well as the warm hearts and amazing knowledge of the AHEIA staff.
This is not like your ordinary 4-some, sporting event like a *cough, cough* golf tournament... this is a FUNdraiser with a totally different experience for you and your 4-some!
How does it work? Real simple folks; sign up your team of 4 and get ready for Tuesday, July 8, 2025, where you will receive expert instructions and a safety demo, followed by a BBQ lunch, rubbing elbows with local Celebs, shoot a few clay targets (or try to at least!), enjoy a dinner with your Team post shooting, and have a few laughs as we work to raise some dollars for two great programs that are focused on helping vulnerable youth get active through sport!

KidSport believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and ALL should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.
The Calgary Flames Sports Bank was created through the generous contributions of Bill Comrie and the Comrie Family. Through Bill Comrie's passion and commitment the Southern Alberta Sports Bank became a reality in August of 2014. July 2020 Bill was able to pass the torch to the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Flames Foundation as the title partner to continue to build on the great work of the last 6 years of getting kids in gear.
The Flames EvenStrength Program helps to alleviate the cost of playing hockey for children in our community facing financial barriers to participating in organized sports.
